Integration

Arythmatic + LTI 1.3 (IMS Global)

Connect Arythmatic with any LTI-compatible tool or platform

Last Updated: April 2026

Arythmatic supports LTI 1.3 (Learning Tools Interoperability) for connecting with external learning tools, content providers, and institutional systems.

Why Connect LTI 1.3 (IMS Global) with Your LMS?

Educational institutions and training organizations using multiple learning tools need a standardized way to connect content, grades, and user data across platforms without building custom integrations for each vendor. Without LTI support, organizations are locked into a single vendor's content ecosystem, unable to incorporate best-of-breed tools, publisher content, or specialized simulation platforms into their training programs. Students and employees must log into multiple separate platforms to access different types of learning content, creating a fragmented experience. Grades and completion data from external tools must be manually transferred to the LMS gradebook, introducing errors and delays. The inability to launch external tools in context within courses means learners lose their place every time they switch between platforms. LTI 1.3 solves these interoperability challenges with secure, standards-based connections, but only when the LMS properly implements the specification.

Key Benefits

Connect with any LTI-compatible tool or content provider
Deep integrations with institutional systems
Standardized grade passback to external platforms
Launch external tools within Arythmatic courses
Industry-standard interoperability

How It Works

1Configure LTI 1.3 connections in Arythmatic admin
2Register external tool providers
3Launch external content within Arythmatic courses
4Grades pass back automatically via LTI

Expanded Setup Guide

1Navigate to Arythmatic Admin > Integrations > LTI to access the LTI 1.3 configuration panel.
2To add an external tool: Register the tool provider by entering their Client ID, Deployment ID, and OIDC/JWKS endpoints from the tool vendor.
3Configure the tool placement settings including where the tool appears in courses (module, assignment, course navigation) and grade passback configuration.
4To register Arythmatic as a tool: Provide your Arythmatic platform's OIDC, JWKS, and Launch URLs to the external platform for registration.
5Configure LTI Advantage services: enable Assignment and Grade Services for grade passback, and Names and Role Provisioning for roster sync.
6Use Deep Linking to allow instructors to browse and select specific content from registered tool providers during course creation.
7Configure security settings including public key/private key pairs for JWT signing and platform-tool trust validation.
8Test each LTI connection with a sample launch, verify grade passback works correctly, and confirm roster data flows before enabling for production courses.
